The Mother Connection was created in 1982 by a group of women who recognized the lack of support for mothers of young children in the community. Through their innovation and hard work, the organization has been able to provide its members with educational resources, an in-depth Newsletter, Parent and Child Workshops, free and subsidized Adventures, play dates and other activities at the TMC Family Center, Children’s Parties, an online community, and much more.
As The Mother Connection has grown over the years to serve nearly 400+ families, we continue to work hard to help all mothers in various times of need. In addition to supporting our members, we also give to the local community through a variety of fund-raising efforts coordinated by TMC Cares.
TMC was created not only to provide resources and fun things for mothers to do with their children, but to serve as a venue for mothers to share and build their skills by volunteering to help maintain this growing organization. TMC is entirely volunteer-based. It’s about both giving to one another and giving back to our community. We want everyone to enjoy the benefits of being a member, and to also contribute in any way one can. There is always an opportunity to volunteer and share your skills and experience with TMC.
