Charitable Donations

The mission of TMC Cares is to encourage goodwill and contributions in the community through charitable donations and social interaction, while providing volunteer opportunities for TMC families. Organizations in need of Donations

YWCA of Greater Lawrence

Generally accepts gently-used children's and women's clothes, books, toys, and baby equipment. These donations are used in their transitional housing programs, domestic violence and rape crisis programs and for families in our youth programs who need assistance.

They also collect used cell phones. Contact Andy Polanco, extension 1036. Phones can be dropped off at 38 Lawrence Street or at Curves on Sutton Street in North Andover or at @Wireless at 28 Chestnut Street in Andover.

Lowell Hunger/Homeless Organization

Visit the website to sign up for the weekly "Wish List" e-mail, or view the monthly calendars detailing different service projects to support. They always accept used items ranging from baby clothes to furniture. The organization prefers that you drop off donations at Donna's house in Lowell (please e-mail her to set that up).

Department of Social Services (DSS)

The Lawrence DSS generally accepts used items ranging from baby toys/equipment to children�s clothes. The organization has a real need for car seats. In addition they are always looking for people to become foster parents.

Horizons for Homeless Children
Contact: Naomi 978- 557- 2182, 60 Island Street, Lawrence.

Accepts gently-used items for the playspaces; specifically board books, games, puzzles, Legos, and books are always needed, as well as infant developmental books. Strongly suggest that you call before dropping off items.

The Salvation Army, Lawrence
Contact: 1-800-958-7825

The Salvation Army will pick up donations from your home. They also have a location (garage) at 250 Haverhill St., Lawrence. The drop-off hours are 9 AM - 12 PM and 1 PM - 3:45 PM, Mon - Fri.

St. Ann's Home, Methuen
Contact: Audrey at 978-265 8820

Accepts and greatly appreciates newly purchased items for children ages 5 - 16 years old. The population is mostly boys.
